Disability
The Rehabilitation Council of India is the apex body that regulates training in the field of rehabilitation of persons with disabilities. Every year, it publishes a list of approved institutions, along with courses offered. All institutions that wish to conduct rehabilitation training programmes have to apply to the RCI for recognition. There are nearly 200 institutions that have been recognised by the RCI to offer courses in various aspects of disability.

National Institute for the Orthopaedically Handicapped Course: Bachelor in Prosthetics and Orthortics Address: B T Road , Brief details: This is a four-year programme, admission for which is made on the basis of merit in the joint entrance examination and eligibility for which is 10+2. Training of Managers in Community-Based Rehabilitation Programmes Brief details: This is a 14-day programme intended for project managers of organisations involved in developing Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) programmes in low-income countries.
